We stayed for 6 days at the Octant. We loved the relaxed and chilled Check-In. Our room was a dream. The staff at the reception, the bar, the spa and the porter were very friendly and forward-thinking. A special thank you goes to Alessandro, the tour guide/experience planner of the hotel, he knows very cool places, which we did not find in advance, although we checked a lot of things out. He clearly plans after you and your wishes. The pool area was very nice (bring black swimsuits) we really enjoyed the area after long hikes. It is 24h open. The spa was very clean, we tried the sail away and dive massages. Our therapists did really good work and were very respectful. The rooms and housekeeping were very good, the rooms were clean and nice, we really liked the small gifts in the evening. Our own pool area outside was also very good. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We will definitely come back. PS: The geothermal steam vents behind the Octant Furnas Hotel naturally emit the characteristic sulfur smell. Depending on the wind direction, the odor can be more noticeable outside, but we couldn’t smell it inside our room thanks to the air conditioning. [...]

We had a wonderful stay at Octant Furnas. What stood out most was the staff, incredibly attentive, genuinely helpful, and often anticipating needs a step ahead without being intrusive. That level of care really shaped the entire experience. Breakfast was superb, with a strong emphasis on local products and beautiful presentation. We also had dinner at the restaurant and were impressed by the quality and care in preparation. While a few dishes didn’t fully match our personal taste preferences, the overall experience was excellent with generous portions and clear attention to detail throughout. The wellness center is a major highlight. Having access to the sauna, steam room, and two pools created a very peaceful, restorative atmosphere, especially with the extended hours, which made it easy to fully unwind at the end of the day. The rooms are comfortable and well-designed, also with great attention to detail. Altogether, the hotel creates a true sense of retreat, a place where you can relax deeply and feel that every element has been thoughtfully considered. We would absolutely stay here again. [...]

My husband and I had a wonderful short stay. All of the staff were courteous and helpful. The pools are relaxing. The entire hotel is impeccably clean and the atmosphere is quiet. Breakfast buffet has a wide selection including local cheeses and bread. I loved the selection of local teas in the tea bar. Dinner My husband and I had a wonderful short stay. Breakfast buffet has a wide selection including local cheeses and bread. I loved the selection of local teas in the tea bar. Dinner selection is also very good. We tried the local stew. The serving for two can easily feed 3-4 people - we couldn't finish it unfortunately but it was very good. I also liked that they are eco-friendly - paper bags in the wastebaskets, etc. The only reason I am giving a 4 for rooms is because the rooms are not very soundproof. Our room faced the road- I could hear cars driving by, doors slamming and toilet flushing. Even in the off-season, the island is beautiful - camellia, birds of paradise, azaleas and more- all blooming. [...]
