We had a wonderful stay at Octant Furnas. What stood out most was the staff, incredibly attentive, genuinely helpful, and often anticipating needs a step ahead without being intrusive. That level of care really shaped the entire experience. Breakfast was superb, with a strong emphasis on local products and beautiful presentation. We also had dinner at the restaurant and were impressed by the quality and care in preparation. While a few dishes didn’t fully match our personal taste preferences, the overall experience was excellent with generous portions and clear attention to detail throughout. The wellness center is a major highlight. Having access to the sauna, steam room, and two pools created a very peaceful, restorative atmosphere, especially with the extended hours, which made it easy to fully unwind at the end of the day. The rooms are comfortable and well-designed, also with great attention to detail. Altogether, the hotel creates a true sense of retreat, a place where you can relax deeply and feel that every element has been thoughtfully considered. We would absolutely stay here again. [...]

Octant Furnas is an incredible hotel that offers a very warm and welcoming atmosphere! I arrived after a minor car accident covered in oil and grease and the staff insisted on shaking my hand and getting me freshened up with hand towels and a welcome drink. I arrived after a minor car accident covered in oil and grease and the staff insisted on shaking my hand and getting me freshened up with hand towels and a welcome drink. The hotel is set in an incredible location and is truly one of the most spectacular landscapes I’ve ever seen. Mauro done an excellent job as the experience manager. He is always present and it is easy to get the details for any trips or excursions to go on. We would recommend the Farm excursion and Gin & Cheese specifically. The spa is excellent and we had our first massage here. It was so relaxing and comforting and it was an absolute no rush experience. The thermals baths are amazing and if you go on a tour everyone will recommend them. Staying means you get to enjoy them anytime you want! Leonardo did an excellent job with the gin and cheese experience. We loved the ambience of the bar as an option instead of the restaurant. It meant we could play games whilst we ate and was a little less formal which we liked. The music was excellent in the bar! Whilst we can’t name individually every staff member that made our stay incredible. Everyone did contribute and we felt so welcomed and attended to for the entirety of our 10 day stay. We’ll be back! I cannot recommend the Octant Hotel & Spa in Furnas highly enough. From the warm, welcoming staff to the spotless, beautiful rooms, everything about Octant Hotel & Spa exceeded expectations. The breakfast is incredible – an amazingly varied choice of high-quality items – fresh local fruits, cheeses, breads, hot dishes, and delicious Azorean specialties. Every I cannot recommend the Octant Hotel & Spa in Furnas highly enough. From the warm, welcoming staff to the spotless, beautiful rooms, everything about Octant Hotel & Spa exceeded expectations. The breakfast is incredible – an amazingly varied choice of high-quality items – fresh local fruits, cheeses, breads, hot dishes, and delicious Azorean specialties. Every morning felt like a feast! The thermal pools (indoor and outdoor) fed by Furnas' natural volcanic waters, was pure magic. Add in the immaculately clean Turkish bath and sauna, and you have a complete wellness experience. Loved wandering through the lovely hotel gardens, and the location is perfect – walking distance to Caldeira das Furnas, other gardens, nearby restaurants, and town sights. The Octant is a rare gem where luxury meets genuine Portuguese hospitality. Book it without hesitation. I can't wait to return! [...]
