Five Stylish Places for Inspiring Business-Events
Have you ever received an invitation to a corporate meeting or team-building retreat and thought, “Please, not another one of those giant, impersonal convention hotels”? If so, we’ve got you covered.
In addition to offering exceptional accommodations, many Select Green Hotels are designed to host corporate events where every detail is thoughtfully considered—from natural and artificial lighting to sustainable materials used in meeting rooms. Above all, these hotels provide a peaceful and inspiring environment, free from noise and distractions.
Green Meetings – Why Choose a Sustainable Hotel for Business Meetings?
For many companies, sustainability is a core value. It’s no longer just about reducing carbon emissions in daily operations; businesses are now scrutinizing every aspect of their activities, including where and how they hold their executive meetings. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) means making conscious choices that benefit both the environment and employees.
By selecting an eco-friendly hotel for your next business event, you contribute to:
- Lower carbon emissions by supporting hotels that use renewable energy and efficient waste management.
- Healthier, greener environments that enhance focus and creativity.
- Ethical business practices that align with sustainability goals.
Whether you’re planning your company’s next corporate event or influencing the decision, we invite you to explore these five green meeting hotels—perfect settings for executive meetings. These venues prioritize environmental consciousness while fostering collaboration and innovation in a warm, creative atmosphere.
Arima Hotel & Spa – San Sebastián
Since its inception, this hotel in San Sebastián, Spain, was designed to integrate the highest possible sustainability criteria, which we follow at Select Green Hotels. The property is Passivhaus certified, with CO₂ emissions savings equivalent to what 15,000 trees would absorb annually. In addition, 28 geothermal wells and aerothermal systems generate energy for hot water, heating, and cooling; rainwater is collected and used for irrigation. And if your corporate meeting includes lunch or breakfast, don’t worry about any leftovers (although it’s better not to have any, but just in case!), as leftover food is donated to nearby farms or composted. The transparent façades of the meeting rooms offer views of the forest and an abundance of natural light. There are up to eight meeting rooms spread over two floors, all with access to a terrace.
- 8 meeting rooms: From 67 sqm to 374 sqm, all with terrace access and forest views
- Layout: Flexible configurations for workshops, board meetings, or retreats
- Sustainability: Passivhaus-certified, geothermal and aerothermal energy, rainwater use, food waste composting or donation
Michelberger Hotel – Berlin
Located in the creative heart of Berlin, Michelberger Hotel combines history, design, and sustainability in a lovingly restored 1906 factory building. Towering ceilings, exposed concrete walls, and handcrafted details such as blown-glass chandeliers create an inspiring setting for meetings that stand out from the ordinary. The hotel emphasizes local and circular systems: furnishings are made from recycled and natural materials, many crafted in-house. The organic cuisine is sourced from the hotel’s own regenerative farm outside Berlin.
- Studio: For up to 14 people, with projection wall and space for flip charts
- The Office: For up to 18 people, arranged in a circle or boardroom style
- Sustainability: Furniture made from natural and recycled materials, regional organic cuisine, in-house regenerative farm
Libertine Lindenberg – Frankfurt
Libertine Lindenberg isn’t a typical hotel – it’s a hybrid concept of living, working, and sustainable hospitality in the heart of Frankfurt. Here, local culture, community spirit, and climate-conscious design come together. Rooms and event spaces are part of a holistic ecosystem including an in-house bakery, a community kitchen, garden, recording studio, and even a small concert venue. Meeting options include a cozy 26 sqm salon with an adjoining kitchen – ideal for informal workshops or creative sessions. For larger events, a fully equipped event space with bar, open kitchen, projector, and sound system hosts up to 100 guests. Meals are 100% plant-based, using ingredients from the garden or regional producers. With a low carbon footprint and a commitment to social engagement, Libertine is an ideal venue for companies that embrace sustainability beyond the surface.

Hotel Jakarta – Amsterdam
Stepping into Hotel Jakarta feels like entering a vertical jungle. The five-story glass and bamboo structure is alive with subtropical plants, towering palms, and botanical gardens inspired by the island of Java. The building is BREEAM certified, and beams, columns, ceilings, and frames are made of natural wood with FSC or PEFC certification. It’s an ideal place for corporate meetings that also speak for themselves in terms of environmental awareness.
- 3 flexible meeting rooms: Can be combined or booked separately

Hotel Pulitzer – Barcelona
In the most cosmopolitan city in Spain, Hotel Pulitzer Barcelona hides a secret that might go unnoticed if you’re staying as a tourist but will be fully appreciated for your business meetings: La Noble. This library, with floor-to-ceiling shelves filled with books, is elegant and intimate. Up to 50 people in theater style or 20 in a U-shape can fit in, and the room is equipped with a home automation lighting system to create different atmospheres, plasma screens, and a projector.
Sustainability is central to this hotel, and therefore, energy-efficient systems are gradually replacing older installations. Solar thermal panels are in place to provide hot water, and enhanced window insulation further helps to reduce energy consumption and external noise.
