An Upscale Alpine Refuge in a Traditional Zagori Stone Village
Sitting atop the highest point in the Aristi village, Arisit Mountain Resort is a refuge for those looking to experience the beauty of nature unique to the Zagori region. The 18-room lodge is a starting point for hiking Vikos Gorge, and an ideal base for mountain climbing, canyoning, days spent riding horseback, and rafting and fly fishing in the nearby Voidomati river, all activities provided by the property. The surrounding region is known for its traditional stone villages, carefully protected Epirus culture and dramatic scenery—Vikos Gorge, the deepest in the world after the Grand Canyon, is particularly striking.
At Aristi, stone-walled rooms range from spacious doubles to villas with fireplaces, rustic furnishings and mountain views. The resort includes a restaurant based in traditional Epirotic cuisine, serving fruits and vegetables from the property’s own organic garden. Aristi also has a focus on wellness (something the Zagori region is known for), with a hammam, jacuzzi, sauna and indoor swimming pool, as well as spa treatments given mountainside.
