Ecohotel Saltus

Puristic Eco Design Meets South Tyrolean Hospitality

Ecohotel Saltus is Seasonally Open from April to December

26 Rooms | 2 Suites | Spa | Pool | Restaurant

Above Bolzano, nestled in the forest, Ecohotel Saltus welcomes its guests with South Tyrolean cordiality and sophisticated aesthetics. Its 26 minimalist-designed rooms and 2 suites, furnished with vintage pieces and natural materials, nuance the colors of the surroundings. The rooms open up to the spruce forest with large windows and balconies. Local larch wood, linen, adobe walls, lime floors and an unclouded forest view exude a strong connection with nature even inside.

This hotel's main themes are wellness, letting go and becoming one with nature. The outdoor Sky Pool, filled with fresh mountain spring water, offers a gorgeous view of the mountains. A meditation path leads to the Forest Spa with saunas, relaxation and yoga room. Join the Saltus Relaxation Program and combine various meditation and relaxation techniques such as yoga and forest bathing with outdoor activities like jogging, hiking, and horseback riding. In the rooms and in the spa, you will be pampered with Susanne Kaufmann's clean beauty products.

South Tyrolean hospitality also comes alive in the restaurant and bistro. Regional dishes with seasonal ingredients from local farmers await you here. As a climate-neutral hotel, the Saltus Ecohotel relies thoroughly on local products and is involved in the reforestation of local forests. Environmental responsibility is rewarded: travel comfortably and sustainably by train and save 5% of the room rate.

HOLIDAY IN SAN GENESIO/JENESIEN

An eight-minute cable car ride connects San Genesio/Jenesien and the lively city of Bolzano/Bozen. At 1,100 metres above sea level, a small mountain village with a population of barely 2,000 has preserved something that is as precious as it is rare. It is situated between the Salto/Salten, Europe’s largest larch plateau and the Monzoccolo/Tschögglberg with its rolling slopes and lush pastures. It is home to the Haflinger horses and a hiking area that offers 800 kilometres of varied and undiscovered natural scenery.

We arrived late and left early so we didn’t get to enjoy the rooftop pool and sauna :( The staff were friendly, especially Roberto, who was very knowledgeable about wines from the region and made us great cocktails. The new part of the hotel has incredible interior design. Also, the drive coming up here was so incredible - definitely one of the best panoramic views of the Dolomites. Highly recommend. [...]

The entire staff on property are phenomenal, definitely made our stay feel like home away from home, even in another country. There was such a warmth about the staff here that really elevated our stay. The women at the check in were incredible and the manager from the restaurant really enhanced our experience. The hotel really gives you a zen vibe the entire time, everyone feels really at peace here. The views are spectacular and the infinity pool is really stunning. 10/10 if you’re looking to really quiet the anxiety brain of modern life and get back to a slower paced vacation. The best way to start off our week in Italy. [...]

My husband and I eloped in the Dolomites and stayed in a suite at the Hotel Saltus for about 4 nights. The hotel, view, and amenities were beautiful.
