Rocabella Mykonos

Conscious Luxury in Familial Mykonian Style

Relaxed and intimate in tone, Rocabella Mykonos is designed by Stone and Walls architect Aphroditi Bonatsou to blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings. Local wood, stone and sisal form the basis of this neutral-toned property, which is made up of 24 rooms and suites built in the simple architectural language of the Cyclades. Two organic restaurants open up to a sunline spanning infinity pool and view of the Aegean. The pool is the largest in Mykonos.

What really makes Rocabella special is its devotion to the local and experiential. Restaurant Nomee specializes in raw ingredients and clean flavors. At ReeZa, food draws on memories of childhood, with rustic Mykonian offerings. Creative Greek Yakitori BBQ cooking lessons are available under the pergola overlooking the cliff sea. And should you have a taste for local wine, Rocabella’s sommelier will also guide you through a tasting of native Greek offerings.

The property’s spa offers up a host of wellness options, including spa treatments that draw on indigenous plants and botanicals for healing. On-site yoga is available.

The staff were so nice and accommodating - they went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. The hotel is nice with easy access to the town via car.

Let’s start with Elle at the front desk. I’m convinced she might actually be running the entire island. Friendly, sharp, and effortlessly cool, she manages to be warm without ever crossing into overly peppy territory—which, frankly, should be taught in hospitality schools. And at breakfast, there’s a young woman whose name I didn’t catch, probably because she was too busy being everywhere at once. She’s part ninja, part hostess, and possibly caffeinated by the gods themselves. One of the hardest-working humans I’ve ever seen—and all before I’d even finished my first cappuccino. The place is immaculate. Like, “eat off the floor if you’re into that sort of thing” clean. Our room had both a sea view and pool view, plus a private plunge pool—because apparently, I now only vacation like a minor royal. Bonus: It had just opened for the season, so it wasn’t crowded. No scrambling for sunbeds or elbowing people at the breakfast buffet. It was peaceful, serene, and felt like we had stumbled upon some secret, stylish Grecian hideaway. The staff? Super attentive. Not in a hovering way, but in a “blink and someone has already brought you more ice” way. Would I recommend it? Only if you enjoy gorgeous views, top-tier service, and escaping the chaos of downtown Mykonos without sacrificing style. So yes. Yes, I would. P.S. Bring sunglasses. For the sun, yes—but also for the sheer level of chic happening around you. [...]

Great location with a beach and convenience store a short walk away. The Hotel also offers transportation to other parts of the island for a price which are reasonable especially if wanting to visit other beaches! Breakfast was also lovely with a great selection and once again the staff at Reeza are absolutely amazing! [...]
