Alpine Farm and Boutique Hotel at the Foot of the Alpe di Siusi

25 Rooms | 1 Restaurant | Sauna

MEA VIA is a thoughtful design hotel and family-run farm. With its location at the foot of the Alpe di Siusi, it is a paradise for nature lovers, slow food enthusiasts and architecture fans. At over 1,400 meters above sea level, you will find peace and beautiful nature.

Precious local wood, natural stone, linen, and leather dominate the understated elegance of the 25 rooms and suites. Here, timeless design meets a love of nature. Large window fronts, sun terraces, freestanding bathtubs, and king-size beds create feel-good spaces.

A slow lifestyle is practiced by the entire family. Adjacent to the MEA VIA, the Pitschieler family runs a traditional farm. The owner family Pitschieler is committed to the preservation of rare breeds of farm animals. Thus, Tyrolean gray cattle, Pustertaler Sprinzen, Magalitza pigs and Villnösser Brillen sheep can be found here.

Much of what is offered in the Bulla restaurant comes from their own agriculture. In the afternoon, Grandma Barbl spoils the guests with homemade cakes. Then in the evening, the chef brings alpine cuisine interpreted in a modern way and the sunny taste of southern Italy to the plate with a 5-course evening menu. The wines at MEA VIA all come from small-structured farms that are committed to preserving the environment and, of course, do not use chemicals.

Relax in the cozy spa area with its panoramic mountain sauna, organic mountain herbal sauna and mountain spring water steam bath, as well as a relaxation room with hay beds. Fragrant wood, Grödner mountain meadow hay, called fën, and precious essences create restful moments.

Whether on skis, by bike or on foot: the mountain landscape of the Alpe di Siusi invites you to be active at any time of the year. Three times a week the hotel offers guided mountain hikes free of charge. In winter, skiers can access Dolomiti Superski directly from Val Gardena. Here you will find wonderful powder snow and the largest ski carousel in the world.

Excellent food!! Very friendly staff and beautiful facility, rooms, and views of the surrounding mountains. The somewhat remote location is quiet yet only 15 minutes away from the downtown area via convenient shuttle and local busses. We’d definitely come again.

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days with the half-board option, and honestly, it’s the best hotel I’ve experienced in the Dolomites so far. (We stayed at Grand Slow room, as a couple) Absolutely worth staying here. Shuttle bus: They provide a convenient shuttle to the ski lift, so we didn’t need to move our car at all during the stay — super easy and stress-free. Spa: Extremely clean, very well maintained, and thoughtfully prepared. A really relaxing space. Food: Breakfast was excellent — there’s even a juicer where you can make fresh juice every morning. The real highlight, though, was dinner prepared by Chef Maurizio from Bolzano. It’s a pity I didn’t photograph every dish. Even the bread is homemade. The food quality felt Michelin-star level, far beyond the usual half-board standard in the Dolomites. I initially expected more casual, family-run vibes — and while the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the professionalism exceeded my expectations. This is not your typical half-board experience. The dining feels like fine dining: plates are always warmed, service follows a perfect primo–secondo–dolce rhythm, and there are always alternative menu options available. Highly recommended. [...]

From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of high-quality options to start the day. In the evenings, we enjoyed a three-course dinner every night, with a different menu and several choices each time. The dishes were made with regional ingredients and showed a very high culinary standard — creative combinations, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and the beds felt like home — extremely comfortable and perfect after long days outdoors. We also really enjoyed spending time in the sauna, which was a lovely and relaxing way to unwind. What really made our stay special was the family who runs the hotel. They are genuinely warm, attentive, and passionate about what they do. As a lovely and unexpected surprise, they even baked a birthday cake for us, which made the stay extra memorable. Getting to the ski lifts was easy thanks to the convenient shuttle or bus service. The village itself is stunning too. We had an amazing week and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We would happily return next year! [...]
