A place of tranquility and seclusion, Minos Palace Resort is an exclusive adults-only retreat set on a private peninsula near Agios Nikolaos. Each accommodation features a private terrace or balcony – always with a sense of spaciousness. The hotel comprises a total of 150 rooms and suites, including accessible options. 

The hotel’s dining experience includes Mom Restaurant, open all day with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and Amar Restaurant, a beachfront spot serving Mediterranean cuisine for dinner. Nama Pool Bar boasts stunning views of the infinity pool and sea, featuring cocktails from Baba Au Rum, ranked among The World’s 50 Best Bars. Guests can also unwind at Mosa Beach Bar, set on the private sandy beach. 

At Nao Wellbeing Center, wellness is built on four pillars: nutrition, sleep, movement, and self-mastery. Upon arrival, guests can complete a questionnaire, consult with an expert, and receive a personalized program. The center combines science and holistic therapies, offering sleep programs tailored to individual rhythms, as well as advanced assessments of respiratory function, cardiovascular fitness, and metabolism. Longevity programs are also available, ranging from one to 14 days. 

Active guests can enjoy the indoor & outdoor gym, tennis court, and diving & watersports center, along with blue and electric bikes for exploring the surroundings. 

A great introduction to Cretan culture starts with a visit to Kritsa, a traditional village where guests can explore the Xombli weaving workshop and meet local artisans preserving ancient crafts. Another must-visit is Spinalonga, a striking island with Venetian fortresses and a rich history, best explored with a knowledgeable guide. Nearby villages such as Elounda, Plaka, Vrouhas, and Fourni also offer authentic Cretan experiences, and private wine tastings at local wineries can be arranged. Some activities are available year-round, while others are best enjoyed from April to October or June to October.

Your true 5-star experience from the beginning to the end of the stay. Our biggest mistake was to book for 2 nights only… I recommend at least 3! Perfect for couples on honey moon; baby moon or special occasion celebrations. Each staff member makes you feel welcomed. A lot of focus on well being, not only by providing extensive fitness choices (like reformer Pilates), but also in food, you have mainly healthy and tasty options! Another big advantage is quite big territory which is very green and versatile. One day you chill on the beach full day, another one you can have private dining experience with the view and then you can spend full day in spa, gym etc. Each piece of furniture feels expensive - exactly what you expect from hotel of this level! 360 angle view - spectacular! Our son booked us a stay at the Minos Place and it was very relaxing. We were upgraded to an infinity lagoon suite with private pool. The view from the room was fantastic. Service from the time of our arrival when we were met at our car to our departure was excellent, friendly and attentive. Our son booked us a stay at the Minos Place and it was very relaxing. Service from the time of our arrival when we were met at our car to our departure was excellent, friendly and attentive. We appreciated the twice daily room cleaning. The breakfast and dinner buffets were both top-notch and contained a wide selection. We also had dinner at Amar one evening where we enjoyed taramosalata and fresh Symi shrimp as starters and lamb shank and ‘Skioufichta’ with beef as the mains. The Cocoa Earth was an excellent desert for two to share. The beach was pleasant and best experienced earlier in the morning if you want a lounge chair. The gym and spa were also good. If you want a change from the resort, the town is within a twenty minute walk. However, the first half of the walk is on a narrow side walk close to a busy road. I'd recommend spending the 8€ for a taxi. Would happily return here in the future. [...]

We have been lucky to enjoy many 5 STAR resorts. We are hard pressed to remember a better overall experience than Minos Palace in Agios Nikolaos. The staff care SO much and made us feel like family. Over the past 30+ years, we have spent over 4 months exploring Greece. This is hands down the best location and views we have ever experienced in Greece. Think about that. We highly recommend MP as the ultimate luxury destination. We also strongly recommend dining in either the Mom or Amar restaurants. World class cuisine, delivered with world class service by Katerina and her team. We would be remiss if we did not give a shout out to the Operations Manager Aggeliki (easy to spell, hard to pronounce haha). Aggeliki will do anything to make your holiday exceed expectations.
