A play on the words Alas (salt) and Nero (water), ALERÓ refers to the hotel’s unique location set behind sand dunes leading to the sea. Led by three women, this family-run boutique hotel provides laid-back luxury and a mindful approach to social and ecological sustainability.

Each of the 12 light-filled suites offers unparalleled privacy, with each unit featuring its own private pool, kitchenette, dining area, and workspace. The sleek interiors are equipped with traditional and modern elements, featuring lots of wood, natural fabrics, and earthy tones with a splash of color.

Amérissa, the open-space restaurant just steps from the beach, provides a communal gathering place for guests throughout the day. Its exquisite gastronomical offerings are based on local produce and recipes and range from breakfast, lunch, and dinner to gourmet coffee, cocktails, and wines.

Skyros Island boasts a unique blend of elements from both the Sporades and the Cyclades, resulting in a distinctive, alternative feel. ALERÓ embodies a similar notion of uniqueness, blending the contrasting elements of alas and nero, luxury and simplicity, traditional and modern, to provide the perfect backdrop for a more holistic and relaxed lifestyle.

An excellent choice for our family holiday in Skyros. We stayed at a luxury suite with elegant aesthetic and we truly enjoyed our stay. The owners with the staff members were very personable and courteous, we felt that we were genuinely treated as guests, not just customers. It's evident that every detail has been thoughtfully curated, from the furnishings to the lighting and layout, creating a space that feels both luxurious and comfortable. What stood out immediately was the impeccable cleanliness. Not a single speck or stain in sight – the entire resort is maintained to flawless standards, something we rarely encounter, even in the most high-end properties. The staff were simply outstanding. Always present, always professional, and consistently friendly – they made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Whether it was a small request or a recommendation, their hospitality was second to none. And then, there’s the restaurant. We had the pleasure of trying every dish on the menu, and each one was a revelation. Michelin-star level creations, beautifully presented and perfectly executed, showcasing both creativity and respect for Mediterranean flavours. A true culinary experience. Relaxed and beautiful hotel right by the beach. We stayed in a suite with a plunge pool, and our room even had a little kitchenette with a mini fridge freezer. The beach right next to the hotel is super quiet and away from the busier areas, we had the whole beach to ourselves most days. The hotel has a car park which is convenient when hiring a car to explore. The hotel is family friendly (and I think dog friendly too??) and has that luxurious but easy going vibe. The hotel’s restaurant is fab and you get a great breakfast included as part of your stay. Thanks Alero for a great holiday :-) [...]
