Sustainable Beach Resort with a Welcoming Atmosphere and a Touch of Barefoot Luxury

The ALERÓ Seaside Skyros Resort is seasonally open from May to September

12 Suites | 1 Restaurant | Spa

Welcoming solo travelers, couples, families, and friends alike, ALERÓ Seaside Skyros Resort is a holistic yet luxurious beach resort on Skyros Island. A play on the words Alas (salt) and Nero (water), ALERÓ refers to the hotel’s unique location set behind sand dunes leading to the sea. Led by three women, this family-run boutique hotel provides laid-back luxury and a mindful approach to social and ecological sustainability.

Each of the 12 light-filled suites offers unparalleled privacy, with each unit featuring its own private pool, kitchenette, dining area, and workspace. The sleek interiors are equipped with traditional and modern elements, featuring lots of wood, natural fabrics, and earthy tones with a splash of color.

Amérissa, the open-space restaurant just steps from the beach, provides a communal gathering place for guests throughout the day. Its exquisite gastronomical offerings are based on local produce and recipes and range from breakfast, lunch, and dinner to gourmet coffee, cocktails, and wines.

Skyros Island boasts a unique blend of elements from both the Sporades and the Cyclades, resulting in a distinctive, alternative feel. ALERÓ embodies a similar notion of uniqueness, blending the contrasting elements of alas and nero, luxury and simplicity, traditional and modern, to provide the perfect backdrop for a more holistic and relaxed lifestyle.

Unwind and live life to the fullest. Spend carefree days by the beach, relax with a book by your private pool, and enjoy flavorful dishes and delightful summer wines while taking in the sea breeze.

I have visited many Greek islands, and whenever someone mentioned Skyros- I was responding with negativity and uncertainty if I ever want to visit it. I WAS SO SO SO WRONG! This is an amazing island for real, relaxing holidays which will "recharge" your batteries in full! It is a small Island, even though it I have visited many Greek islands, and whenever someone mentioned Skyros- I was responding with negativity and uncertainty if I ever want to visit it. I WAS SO SO SO WRONG! This is an amazing island for real, relaxing holidays which will "recharge" your batteries in full! It is a small Island, even though it is the biggest out of four Sporades Islands (Skyros, Alonisos, Skopelos, Skiathos). Most of the days you can reach Skyros twice a day (weekends are three times a day) with a Ferryboat from the port of Kymi in the Island of Eyvia. Upon arrival (if you do not have a car), you can take a cab which we paid 15 euros to take us to our rented room in between Port and Chora (apx. 5 km). In the port you can find a mini market, a few taverns, coffee bars and a wonderful small ceramic shop where you can buy locally made products ( Skyros is well known for their ceramics art history). We stayed in the area which is called Aspous and we were nicely surprised how we had everything on our palm. A mini market 24/7, excellent tavern "Lambros" with amazing local home made food, excellent prices and huge portions! There is also a beach bar where you can spend your evening in relaxation, in a non- crowded ambience. The beach is in a bay and water is always much warmer than in any other beaches in the Island. Big, sandy beach with crystal clear water. We spent one evening in Chora, and it was lovely! You need to visit a small shop that makes traditional shoes (made with old vehicle tyres )! Food is awesome wherever you try it. Half of the Island is covered with a pine wood, and it smells amazing! Agios Panteilimonas is a place from where you can enjoy a breath taking views over the Port Linaria and "Islands coastal curves". Agios Fokas is a beach with amazing smaragd colour water and local, rural tavern with awesome food. If you are into a family or a couple vacation style, in need of relaxation and full mindful holidays - this is an island for you. No craziness, no overcrowded tourism madness, no loudness or street bar life, just an amazing, beautiful, authentic Greek island that will help you connect with nature. [...]

One of the best islands I ever visited, to be honest I did not expect it to be that nice. It is the definition of Greek summer!
