A Self-Sufficient Bed and Breakfast in Tuscan Country Style - Luxurious and Environmentally Friendly

Casa Bellavista welcomes young guests aged 12 and over.

A sustainable country estate and family home. Casa Bellavista is an off-the-grid holiday retreat. A place to unwind and immerse yourself in the Tuscan lifestyle. The hosts Simonetta and Guido will welcome you warm-heartedly to their boutique bed and breakfast. The house is completely self-sufficient using solar energy and a purification system for water. Fitted with antique furniture just 4 spacious rooms exude an authentic charm, making you feel truly like a guest at someone’s home.

Simonetta is the culinary soul of the house, offering vegetarian and vegan dishes using mostly organic products and raw ingredients from local producers. Everything is strictly regional and seasonal. For breakfast indulge in homemade jams, cakes and biscuits, fresh seasonal fruit, fresh yogurt, and fruit juices. Gourmets and all who like to learn how to prepare traditional Tuscan dishes might enjoy cooking classes and EVO oil tastings. In her cooking class “Eat with Simonetta” she introduces guests to preparing authentic Tuscan heritage food which is rooted in vegan and vegetarian recipes.

The Nest offers an intimate spa experience with sauna, steam bath, whirlpool, and relaxation area – all for your private use and powered by 100% solar energy.

Enjoy culinary delights at breakfast, spend an easy day by the pool, wind down in the hammock reading a good book you found at The Library, and just soak up the moment.

Every corner is special, from the rose garden to the beautiful pool overlooking the valley to the front yard overlooking the sunflower fields. There are many places to sit outside and enjoy the Tuscan countryside. The interior is filled with treasures and you feel right at home. The entire place is *incredibly* clean; we even saw the cleaning crew deep cleaning the windows our first morning. Our room was nice with a huge bathroom. We participated in a cooking class with Simonetta which was a highlight of our entire trip. She lets you choose an antipasto, primo, secondo and dessert from many options and has wine on site that you can purchase by the glass or bottle, during the cooking class and for dinner. You can also bring your own wine for a small corkage fee. Our group had so much fun with Simonetta, who has a great sense of humor and is a welcoming, kind host along with her husband Guido. The breakfast is wonderful, with lots of options from savory to sweet and a fresh-baked vegan cake made by Simonetta. It's lovely to sit on the patio and enjoy breakfast before lounging by the pool and visiting nearby Cortona at night. The icing on top of the cake was their dog Leah, the perfect lab. And the sunsets. We only wish we had been able to stay for longer and are dying to go back. If you're looking to explore many different villages and towns in Tuscany, this is the perfect base. [...]
