OKU Andalusia: Barefoot Luxury on the Costa del Sol
255 Rooms & Suites | 4 Restaurants | 2 Bars | Spa | 4 Pools | Kids Club
Set along the sun-drenched coastline of La Alcaidesa, OKU Andalusia brings a refined yet laid-back retreat to southern Spain. Designed for those who seek both seclusion and connection, this retreat is a sanctuary where earthy design meets exceptional hospitality, and days flow effortlessly between sea, sun, and wellbeing.
The aesthetic is unmistakably OKU: organic textures, earthy tones, and minimalist lines inside and traditional Andalusian architecture outside. The rooms and suites echo this philosophy, each designed with natural wood, handcrafted details, and a neutral palette that invites relaxation. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring in Mediterranean light, while private terraces offer views of the gardens, pools, or ocean beyond.
Among the standout accommodations, the Deluxe Suites feature private pools and terraces, while the Two-Bedroom Suites offer sea-facing sanctuaries perfect for families or friends. For the ultimate retreat, the four-bedroom villa provides absolute privacy with spacious interiors and an exclusive pool.
Four distinct restaurants offer a culinary journey, whether it’s Japanese fusion, Mediterranean classics, or elegant beachfront dining.
Teyo, the resort's signature restaurant, delivers an elevated Japanese-fusion menu, with expertly prepared sushi, sashimi, and Robata-grilled dishes. Our absolute favourite dishes include the 60-day aged rubia gallega ham, where the enoki mushrooms and truffle aioli melt on the palate; the Gambero rojo with yuzu mustard and royal imperial caviar; the lobster and noodles; and the black cod, served alongside a quintessentially Japanese root vegetable that will transport you to the most authentic izakayas in the country.
To Kima, set by the main pool, serves Mediterranean cuisine with an Asian twist, offering light bites, fresh salads, and seasonal sharing plates. The novelty for 2026 is The Bodega — an Andalusian wine bar with small plates. Tucked away in an open-air piazza with a focus on local flavours, it is the perfect spot to pair selected wines with deli-style snacks. Keep an eye on the announcements for live music nights, when an intimate Spanish guitar concert makes the evening truly special.
The Terrace bar and restaurant is the heart of OKU Andalusia, where mornings start with leisurely breakfasts and afternoons stretch into golden sunsets. If you happen to spot a falconer strolling across the terrace with an American kestrel in the early hours, wonder no more — the bird is there to gently discourage sparrows and other small visitors from helping themselves to guests' plates. A breakfast ritual quite unlike any other.
For those craving a seaside escape, The Beach Club offers a refined yet relaxed setting, pairing fresh coastal cuisine with a curated DJ soundtrack.
OKU Andalusia invites guests to slow down and reconnect. The 2,000-square-metre spa is a haven of relaxation, featuring an indoor pool, four experiential showers, a sauna, and treatment rooms, while the outdoor yoga shala is framed by lush gardens for a more tranquil practice. A dedicated vegetable garden showcases medicinal plants used in bespoke spa rituals designed to restore balance and harmony. Ask about the daily activity schedule — between 9 and 10 each morning the programme rotates, offering beginner yoga, vinyasa flow, yin yoga, nidra yoga, pilates, dynamic meditation, tai chi, and even dance yoga.
In the afternoons, from around 3:30 pm, complimentary classes gather beneath a shaded pergola surrounded by greenery near the vegetable garden, covering macramé, painting, basket weaving, aromatherapy, mandalas, and sound healing.
The Sports Club offers tennis, padel, and multi-sport courts, with tailored golf programmes available at Valderrama and other nearby courses. The beach is moments away, with opportunities for surfing, paddleboarding, or simply watching the waves roll in — and keep your eyes on the water, as dolphins have been known to make a surprise appearance. The coastal trails and nearby whitewashed villages invite discovery, while guided horseback rides and Andalusian wine tastings offer an authentic connection to the region. Do not miss the trail leading from OKU Andalusia towards La Línea de la Concepción — even just the first kilometre is rewarding, a flat coastal walk that descends to the shore revealing sweeping views of Alcaidesa beach and, in the distance, the unmistakable silhouette of the Rock of Gibraltar.
While OKU Andalusia is a haven for serenity, families are warmly welcomed. The dedicated OKU Kids Club introduces younger guests to nature-inspired activities, ceramics classes, and adventure-filled treasure hunts. Teenagers have their own pool and a dedicated space to try their hand at climbing. Edible plants from the vegetable garden make their way into an exclusive kitchen experience, where a chef guides the next generation through the art of cooking — perhaps sparking a lifelong passion along the way.
Whether seeking a sophisticated escape, a mindful retreat, or a soulful family getaway, this is a place to breathe, explore, and simply be.
