OKU Bodrum: A Luxurious Eco-Friendly Retreat in the Heart of the Bodrum Peninsula
New Hotel Opening in July 2025
Located on the stunning Bodrum Peninsula, OKU Bodrum is surrounded by majestic mountains on one side and the serene Aegean Sea on the other. Just under four hours away from the Turkish city of Izmir, this exclusive hotel will open its doors in July 2025. It is an adults-only property, welcoming guests over the age of 16, offering a peaceful retreat with private beach access and a charming wooden jetty.
OKU Bodrum offers 27 rooms and 31 suites, each designed with a private terrace or balcony featuring beautiful ocean views. Some suites come with direct pool access, while others offer the luxury of private pools. Rates include a daily buffet breakfast.
The hotel embraces rustic minimalism throughout its design, creating a strong connection with nature. Local materials such as stone and wood are incorporated in every detail, while earthy color palettes ensure a peaceful and relaxing environment.
For wellness enthusiasts, start your day with morning yoga on the terrace or head to the fitness studio facing the ocean. Paddleboarding is also available for those looking to explore the water. For relaxation, OKU Bodrum features a luxurious spa with a sauna, and a hammam.
At lunchtime, visit To Kima restaurant, where you can enjoy a fusion of Turkish and Mediterranean dishes, including locally caught grilled fish, seafood, and poke bowls. For dinner, Teyo serves exquisite Japanese cuisine in an alfresco setting. After dinner, unwind at the bar located on the jetty, offering spectacular sunset views from its amphitheater-style terraces overlooking the sparkling cove.
As part of its commitment to sustainability, OKU Bodrum offers Barbare wines, which are ECOCERT certified. The wines are produced using organic, biodynamic, and sustainable viticulture practices in the vineyards, where Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre grapes are grown.
OKU Bodrum is committed to supporting local communities and environmental causes. The hotel collaborates with well-known charities such as TEMA (The Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion, for Reforestation, and the Protection of Natural Habitats), the Bodrum Health Foundation, and LOSEV (Foundation for Children with Leukemia). Additionally, the hotel supports local women’s communities by purchasing handmade products like candles and bags for gifts to both guests and staff.
The hotel's wooden jetty also serves as the departure point for boating day trips around the peninsula. Guests can explore peaceful lagoons, nearby islands, or visit lively marinas. Additional experiences include visits to local vineyards, villages known for carpet and pottery making, and historical sightseeing tours.
Highly recommended activities include olive tree harvesting, organic farm visits, and cooking classes, all of which will enhance your stay.
From 2026 onward, OKU Bodrum will operate annually from late April to mid-November, ensuring guests can enjoy its serene beauty for much of the year.
